Good listening

I have my personal stash of music that I pull out whenever I'm lounging, doing home work, or even working. I thought id share one song from that stash with u, its from a group called Massive Attack and the name of the song is Protection.

Massive Attack is a british collaboration group that started pumping out the hits back in the late 80's, I like them for there unique sound and display of idea, check the video and listen to it for urself. Mind u, the video is a bit weird. But the song is pretty nice.

I likes toys 2

"The fine folks at Tokopop have uncovered a new Bayonetta garage kit. I have no idea what a garage kit is, but it is apparently 1/6 scale and unable to be posed. Details are scarce at the moment, but  believes it is sculpted by Cerberus Project's Jigoku no Inu, and that this figure should make an appearance at Japan's upcoming Wonder Fest on July 25."

For those not in the know on this character, here's the basics. Her name is Bayonetta and she's a witch that fights angels and demons. Oh and her entire suit is made of her own hair. She's also very flexible and has guns attached to her heels..... Two words. And by two I mean one, DANNNNNG!!!

Everybody's a blogger nowadays.

It kinda make me wonder if anyone really even cares to read what I have to say. With so much freelance talent out there and so much more quality in other post, I'm sitting happily at the bottom of the blogchain for sure. But that's ok, I'm comfortable there for now, not really trying to get on anyone's talk show or win a Webby. This is my blog, my space, and u know what? It awesome to me.

With that out the way, it seems as though the majority of ppl have a blog in todays time. Everyone's got an idea, everyone's got a perspective, and everyone wants to be heard. So what's the easiest way to do it? Blog. Well, maybe not the easiest but dang freakin close to it. Find urself a legible blogsite if ur not yet savvy with creating HTML on ur own(much like me), and go for broke.

Personally I enjoy blogging, it calms me as I txt or type out my thoughts for all to see. I speak my mind freely here in this space and I mean what I say; complete disclosure on my end. What do u think? Do u blog? Why or why not?

Ugh, enough with the cuts!

Happy Friday ya'll, everyone doing ok, smelling good, looking good? Awesomeness. As I was brushing my gums this morning I received a tweet from Twitter regarding more layoffs in the world of video games. This didn't surprise me as the industry has been cutting deep in the payroll of a quite a few game company's since the first quarter of this year, even last year. So as I'm still standing there brushing the furcoat away from my teeth, I got the thinking; its no secret for whoever knows me that I want to be a game developer one day. Making the most delicious games anyone will ever play of my time. But as I read this tweet which led me by link to to the full article(ill post it at the end), I wondered about my chances when I actually am able to make that first purchase of a studio and a team. I wondered about how I'm going to stack up. Bare in mind, these layoffs and company failings r from BIG companies, Activision, Pandemic Studios, Midway, just to name a few. It's putting me in a position of observance, I'm looking at these great game studios with these great minds behind them and I'm thinking "how in the heck r ppl getting layed off in a multi billion dollar industry?????". I understand that these game studios have to maintain quality in their games and yes I know not every game is gonna sell big. But these(the 3 companies listed above) r big freaking companies that have the money, that have the resources to help improve their staff if needed. To help them improve the quality of the games being put out. Ugh, instead ppl who make a living doing what they luv get the cold edgy shaft of obsolescence, that is, a repetitive market where more and more r getting cut.

Here's the article from G4TV/The Feed's Patrick Klepek 6/15/10 @12:13pm

Sony Online Entertainment is the latest company to join the series of layoffs hitting the games industry. The company confirmed to me this morning they are laying off a total of 35 employees.

The layoffs themselves do not appear to be targeted at a particular development team. Here's the company's full statement, provided to me just moments ago:

“In a move to better align the company’s resources against areas of growth that meet consumer demand in today’s online market as well as improve operational efficiency, Sony Online Entertainment has eliminated just over 4% of its full-time workforce, equaling 35 people. The changes will better position SOE to deliver against its emphasis on developing games for a wider, more diverse audience and remaining a worldwide leader in online gaming.”

Nobody can argue that Sony isn't a great company, that's not the case here, but 35 ppl who put there trust in this great company r without jobs today. And I can't help but think that money is the root of it. Isn't it always though? Check the link below and weigh in on this subject, leave a comment. And I need sum more toothpaste!!!

Hey, where the heck you been?!

Yea yea don't drop a kidney stone losers, I'm still here. In sum form or another.

Soooooo. What the frack is up ya'll, I have been away for awhile now, a couple of months and all this schoolin has really, reeeaaally put me off track as far personal blogging goes; I mean jeez my first blog session for the month of April 2010 was like 40 sumthing plus blogs, now college wants to come along and make me the geriatric of bloggers? No maam, I has much on the brain, and much nonsense to follow it. Please believe, I r returned.

What the heck is new with me?

Well let's see, the first semester of college is wrapping up and I'm averaging "A's" and "B's" across the board, I have amassed a colorful cast of ppl whom I would say "yes, they r my friends", and I'm grateful for them. Hmmmmmm, my sex life is and has been on the rocks, its been 1 year 24 days 3 hours and counting as of this posting since I buried the banana and I gotta tell ya, its killing me. Moving on, college so far has been a trip; the stress, the deadlines, the FREAKIN' APA papers that just won't seem to die. All of it, since I started back in May, has given me more insight though. Like I feel more confident that I'm going to graduate everyday, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Like I'm really shaping my future in only 3 or 4 hours a day of class. Nice.

But as with all good things, they must come to an end. THEIR SPLITTING US UP!!!!!! I'm referring to my current group of friends who r all getting split up next semester in other classes which I think is bogus btw. I should draw up a sign and post up outside the school yelling "NO MORE SEPARATION, IGNORE THE HATERATION". Of course id do this up until the point when class would start, then Id go to my class with my sign, and return outside with it to protest afterwards, catching all kinds of looks. Interesting idea, but it will get me booted and I know u would just hate that:D.

Let's see what else? Oh yea, BP sure took their sweet time putting a cap on the leak...... random bit there, ur welcome for that.

Anyway, I'm back and I'm feeling contraversial..... in my pants....... another random bit there, u can have that one I have more:3
