College life, coming soon.

So today I went to Bryant and Stratton College to meet with an admissions rep to chat about what the college can offer me, and I gotta tell ya, I think it was the best initiative I've taken in a long time. Aside from my representative being pure eye candy I was able to keep my eyes away from her open breast long enough to soak up what she was telling about the curriculum of my choice, which is IT.

A lot of info to process but nuthins finalized. But the first step has been taken in a good direction. Keep u posted.

Finally, a new contender comeths!

I don't know if u have been aware lately, but there has been a quiet storm brewing under the radar, a storm with enough potential to go category 5+ and blow the whole game industry off its hinges. That quiet storm in question, is Onlive. I haven't been saying anything about it because I'm still skeptical, however new updates r surfacing that r making me want to watch for this new "microconsole" launch this June.

This is a blog from Steve Perlman, founder and CEO of Onlive:

"After almost 8 years of development, thousands of partner meetings, millions of lines of code, and an uncountable number of all-nighters… Drum roll please… On June 17, 2010, during the E3 2010 show, the OnLive Game Service will be available for users in the 48 contiguous United States! Everyone here at OnLive is just incredibly excited about this milestone. It’s the realization of a dream that we knew would be a huge undertaking, but also one that would change everything".

"OnLive fundamentally transforms the way users experience games and interact with each other, and in time, will transform the way games are developed and marketed. By distilling specialized game hardware out of the equation, OnLive will allow games to be played as a pure media experience on virtually any device with the same flexibility and instant-play experience that we’ve come to expect from online video and music."

"For gamers, this means you never have to do anything for your gaming experience to keep getting better. And developers now can unleash unbounded creativity to deliver state-of-the-art gameplay that they know will reach virtually any gamer—instantly".

"Today we also announced OnLive’s base service pricing, and a pretty cool special offer. The base month-to-month service fee is $14.95. Loyalty programs (e.g. multi-month pricing) and other special offers will be announced by the start of E3. We’ve got a great special offer for starters: The first 25,000 qualified people to register on the OnLive Game Service will have their first 3 months’ service fee waived. You’ll find all the important details here and note that the service fee does not include the purchase or rental of games".

"Included in your monthly service fee are OnLive-exclusive features such as instant-play free game demos; multiplayer across PC, Mac and TV platforms; massive spectating; viewing of Brag Clips™ video capture and posting; and cloud-saving of games you’ve purchased—pause, and instantly resume from anywhere, even on a different platform. Also included in the monthly service fee are features you’d expect from standard online games services such as gamer tags, user profiles, friends, chat, but with a twist: everything is live video. You’ll be friending through multiplay, Spectating, Brag Clips, or by flipping through video profiles of friends of friends of friends. OnLive is delivering the first instant video-based social network. It’s really cool".

"Once you are on the service, instant-play, top-tier, newly-released games will be for sale and for rent on an à la carte basis. Specific pricing will be announced as games are released, so you’ll hear about the pricing of the first games by E3, but needless to say, we expect them to be offered at competitive prices. Games are always updated with the latest versions, and purchased game add-ons are playable instantly. Initially, we’ll be offering the OnLive Game Service for PCs and Macs through a small browser plug-in. Later this year, we’ll announce the public availability of the MicroConsole™ TV adapter. And, we’ll be steadily expanding to other devices over time. So, there it is. After a long and arduous journey, OnLive will be coming to a screen [really] near you".

This is shaping up pretty good, and now that the company has funding from AT&T, who knows what's gonna happen. But know this, this June, E3, a new contender joins the fray. Ohhhhhsnapson!

Do u likes rumors?

Well if ur like me then u would answer that question with a solid "maybe", but I hope so because this blog is a doozy. See the kid in the pic with the mask, well he's rumored to be in the upcoming Batman: Arkum Asylum 2. Heres a source from GIonline with more:

By Brian Vore April 21, 2010 - After recent Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 casting leaks, the Game Informer comic book nerds have amassed to suss out who else would logically come along for the ride. Could the Boy Wonder be a likely candidate? So Talia al Ghul's voice actor blew it on Twitter that the character will be in Arkham Asylum 2. What could this mean? Talia is the daughter of Ra's al Ghul, who was dead in a body bag in Arkham 1. Anyone who knows Batman comics knows that Ra's is certainly NOT out of the picture as he can be resurrected in any one of the world's many Lazarus pits. Or course, Ra's is a cool villain, but at this point we're more interested in his grandson.

According to comics stretching back to 1987, Batman/Bruce Wayne had a *** son with Talia that he had no idea about. Only in the last few years has Damian Wayne reappeared to be a pain in Batman's ass. The hot-headed young boy was trained by the League of Assassins to fight and kill Batman, and his entourage constantly had to keep him on a leash. Now that Bruce is dead and/or stuck in some kind of crazy time loop, Damian has taken over the role of Robin to Dick Grayson's Batman.

If Robin were to appear in the followup to Rocksteady's hit, this seems a more interesting origin in line with the dark and gritty tone the developer has established. Joker introduce Batman to his wayward son Maury Povich-style during the game, and maybe they'd eventually have to work together to save Talia. Batman's already got a crapload of old Robin costumes laying around the Batcave, so he could totally hook Damian up.

This would certainly be cooler than trying to work in Dick Grayson's circus family origin. Damian's already fully trained in martial arts by stone cold assassins. Plus, these killers could show up as some tough enemies later in the game. What do you other comic book nerds out there think? Any other theories based off of the Mr. Freeze and Talia casting leaks?

So in closing can I just say, HURRY UP WITH THIS FREAKING GAME!!

Here comes a new composer!!

Do u know this woman? No? Well it might surprise u to know that this woman had been around making video music for sum time now. Born October 19, 1967 in Japan, this woman's life has been filled with music. With musical scores for 17 games, including Street Fighter II and Final Fight, she has been given the title of "the most famous female video game composer in the world". From 1993 to 2002 she worked for Squaresoft(now Square Enix), where she composed for a further eight games, including the popular Mana and Kingdom Hearts games. Since then she has worked as a freelance composer, writing for over a dozen titles. Her works have gained a great deal of popularity, and have been performed in multiple video game music concerts, including one, Sinfonia Drammatica"greatest hits" album, and half on the music of a previous concert. Music from several of her games has been published as arranged albums and as piano scores.

U might be wondering by now, who this woman is. Well I'm getting to it. See, this woman has been given the position of chief composer at Square Enix............ ill say that again, this woman has been given the position of chief composer at SQUARE ENIX. Still lost? Ok, Square Enix recently lost its then-composer Masashi Hamauzu this year, and since the great  Nobuo Uematsu had left before him, the company needed sumone with the balls to handle a certain franchise. One by the name of Final Fantasy versus 13. U can say that the music of this upcoming wallet eater has just fallen into the laps of Ms. Yoko Shimomura.

The above theme is set to be FF versus 13's main theme music, and I gotta say, it coaxes emotion from u. It's amazing. It delicious. It's, Yoko Shimomura. May have to upload more music from her soon if I keep getting emotions to grab the kleenex because of this chicks music!! U be the judge.

Looking to redecorate your house with video game-themed art? The fine folks at SOTA(that's State of the Art Toys) have got you covered. The statue company has teamed up with Capcom to release a new Juri statue that ties in with Super Street Fighter IV’s release. Last month SOTA announced it was opening pre-orders for its Juri statue, but today the toy company announced two alternate variants of the statue. The first is an alternate costume(orange and white). The second is an LED variant (purple and white) that allows Juri's eye to light up just like it does in the game. As Seth’s deadly companion, Juri is a danger in the ring, but she also makes beautiful statue. Standing approximately 11-inches tall, this Juri figure joins Ken, Cammy, Akuma, and Blanka in SOTA's line of collectible Street Fighter statues. IGN Video: Halo: Reach Xbox

Bungie's latest multiplayer effort is gonna be epic to say the least. This blog is courtesy of IGN.

By Ryan Geddes April 21, 2010 - A public videogame beta is a beautiful and powerful thin the point when a development studio blows the airlock on a multi-million dollar years-long project and delivers it for testing to a fan base both ravenous and skeptical. Part demo and part research project, a beta brings players and creators in closer contact than at any point in a project's development cycle. I'm a big believer in public betas as the best way to create a stellar multiplay experience, and Bungie is planning to go big when it opens Halo:Reach up for public testing next month. IGN Video: Halo: Reach Xbox 360 Trailer - Multiplayer Trailer

I recently dropped by Bungie Studios to take an early look at what's in store for Halo fans next month, and I'll fill you in on what I've seen in just a bit. But first, a quick primer on what Reach is and what's involved in the beta. The madness starts on May 3 for those with a copy of Halo 3: ODST, the standalone Halo 3 expansion that was released in September 2009. When the magic date rolls around, you'll see the Halo: Reach beta option pop up in ODST's extras menu. Download it, launch it through ODST, and you're in. Through matchmaking, custom games or system link, you'll have four multiplayer maps to explore when the beta launches. In addition to classic Halo multiplayer game types including Slayer and Free-for-all, Reach introduces a number of new modes, four of which will be playable in the beta. Some of what you'll see will be instantly familiar, but make no mistake,  a lot has changed.

The world of Reach is brutal and unforgiving. Just ask the millions of people who died there when the Covenant attacked it in 2552. Actually, you can't ask them, because they're dead. And fake. But you get the idea. In the Halo universe, Reach was humanity's most important colonial outpost. In some ways it had, in fact, become more important than Earth itself. The Spartan program was born there, and Master Chief John-117 grew up there. When it fell, it fell hard, under gargantuan glowing spirals of overheated plasma. At the end, Reach was a mean, dangerous place. And so is the Halo: Reach beta. the end, Reach was a mean, dangerous place. And so is the Halo: Reach beta. Consider the Covenant Plasma Launcher, one of the new power weapons available in Halo: Reach. Picture a hammerhead shark, squeezed and molded into a streamlined armful of metallic alien polymer. Its cartilaginous protuberances have been repurposed into trigger, stock, scope and muzzle. It's missing the shark's organic glisten, but it's just as dangerous. protuberances have been repurposed into trigger, stock, scope and muzzle. It's missing the shark's organic glisten, but it's just as dangerous. Fire the trigger once and it launches a sticky plasma grenade at its target. Hold the trigger down, and more grenades (up to four) will be added to the launch queue. Let them fly, and they'll gently track to the poor sap caught between its crosshairs. It's a gun you'll want to keep your eye on. And it's not the only one. The Covenant Focus Rifle is equally nightmarish. A cross between the Beam Rifle and a Forerunner Sentinel laser beam, it fires a stream of pink death across the map, slicing and dicing as it goes. the only one. The Covenant Focus Rifle is equally nightmarish. A cross between the Beam Rifle and a Forerunner Sentinel laser beam, it fires a stream of pink death across the map, slicing and dicing as it goes. But the Covenant aren't the only ones with deadly new toys. Spartans go into battle with the Grenade Launcher, a new addition to the UNSC arsenal that hurls, well, grenades. But there's a twist. Hold down the trigger and the projectile will stay dormant where it lies, primed for explosion. Release the trigger at an opportune moment and it goes blammo at your beck and call, throwing out an electromagnetic pulse blast for good measure.

In addition to new weapons like these, the Needle Rifle, and others, there are also re-tooled blasts from the Halo past making their appearance in Reach. The Designated Marksman Rifle is the UNSC replacement for the Battle Rifle(thank the Ancients), and it's a headshot magnet in experienced hands. The Magnum is also back, and it's better than ever. Five steady, well-timed body shots with this little hand cannon will get you a satisfying kill. It's deadlier than it looks. Respect it. than it looks. Respect it. With all these new boomsticks lying about, you're going to need some protection. But rather than armor your Spartan up even more than he was in Halo 3, Bungie has gone back in the Halo: Combat Evolved direction. That's right, health packs are back. In Halo: Reach, when your shields get whittled down to nothing, your health bar will start to chip away. The only way to restore it is to find a wall-mounted health pack (similar to Halo 3: ODST) and shake it off, Marine. There are two bright spots in the health-and-wellness realm. First, your shields are still regenerative and they're a bit heartier against melee attacks than in Halo 3. A smack from behind will still net a kill so long as your target's shields are down. Second, the armor you take into battle is imbued with special characteristics, depending on which loadout you choose.

Ok is anyone else drooling yet, I'm is!! Check out the article in full here>  Halo:Reach

There's another evil coming.

Like it or not, there's a 3D avalanche coming from Hollywood and it's bleeding over to other forms of media, including video games. At the 3D Gaming Summit in Los Angeles today, director Paul W.S. Anderson, known for adapting the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter(I just threw up) games to the silver screen was keynote speakers at the event and discussed his reactions to 3D so far.

"3D's a huge thrill," said Anderson, discussing the risks of becoming an early embracer of this new technology. "If you're the first to invest in something, that's more than outweighed by the sheer thrill that you get from seeing 3D images. I really feel like -- this has become a cliche -- [but] Avatar was a game changer. I think 3D really is going to change the game for everyone."

Andersons next film Resident Evil: Afterlife will incorporate 3D into the movie. into the movie. Anderson described how an otherwise simple scene, a crowd walking through a rainy Shibuya Square in Tokyo with umbrellas, was made more interesting because of the added 3D elements, despite their subtle nature."Working with the third dimension just makes things more interesting. It really does."

"The addition of 3D", Anderson argued, "makes otherwise simple scenes "interesting" again". He relayed how audiences responded with loud cheering to Mortal Kombats inclusion of then-new wire fu fighting techniques, but these days you need 10 million camera angles and 15 people fighting at once to maintain the interest of the audience."When 3D's added that changes the mix" he said.

Are u ready for this???

At an event that went down in Honolulu, Hawaii recently, Capcom showcased a plethora of upcoming titles at a convention called Capcom Captivate Hub 2010. One product in particular stood out the most, Marvel vs Capcom 3. The long awaited sequel in the trilogy of (in my opinion) an unrivaled fighter. Much to my excitement, the roster will be huge, bigger than sequels past and will boost graphics that make u wanna marry ur console, kinda like im gonna marry my ps3 soon, I'm just waiting for the divorce papers between me and . Here's what's known so far:

MvC 3 will be coming to PS3 and 360 in Spring 2011.

No arcade version is being planned. It features 3 vs. 3 tag-team fighting.

It's being developed in house by Capcom, and they're working closely with Marvel to ensure they do both fictions justice. Capcom is striving to make the game deep while reducing confusion controls. They wish to open the door to newcomers.

There are hints of inspiration from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom in the gameplay. the gameplay. It utilizes the same MT Framework engine found in Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2, allowing the amazing visuals seen in the trailer above. Staff responsible for previous Marvel vs. Capcom titles are on it, including Ryota Niitsuma. They are striving for a "living comic book" appeal, so they're really playing up shaders. Even more so than in Street Fighter IV.

The roster will be somewhere in the 30s. This version of Wolverine is from Astonishing X-Men. Story in MvC 3 will be the best in the series, but takes a backseat to the fighting. It will be playable for judges at E3 this year.

Well I don't know u, but I'm ready for it, seeing as to how undefeatable I was in 1 I figure my AWESOMENESS will transfer right over:3 get ready.

The new Galaxy 2

This was posted on The Wired website last month on the 31st.

"On a recent trip to Nintendo’s Redwood City office to play the upcoming Wii game, I got to see exactly five new levels, carefully chosen and orchestrated by Nintendo reps to ensure that I only experienced tiny slivers of the game, keeping anything else hidden behind the curtain. And just on the off chance I saw anything the company wasn’t ready to reveal, I was given an extensive list of things that I couldn’t talk about if I happened to see them. Mario isn’t the company’s biggest cash cow anymore by far, but it’s still serious business every time. What I can say is that Mario and his sidekick Yoshi are filled with more brand-new moves than we’ve previously heard about at E3 or the recent media summit. Mario can roll up into a rock and bash around the levels, and Yoshi can eat Glimmer Bulb Berries that cause him to phosphoresce. As Nintendo revealed at that media summit, Galaxy 2 has a straightforward world map that’s more reminiscent of Starship Mario, a little mobile planetoid shaped like Mario’s head that you can play around on. You’ll be able to find secret levels and branching paths in the game’s many different worlds (of which Nintendo is not saying how many there are, although I saw three). Each world contains several galaxies, and each galaxy contains several levels (objectives). world contains several galaxies, and each galaxy contains several levels (objectives).

and Rollodillo — Boulder Bowl Galaxy The first thing I did was pick up the new Rock Mushroom, which turns Mario into a rolling boulder of death. The boulder smashes into things and destroys them. Like big giant red crystals that have things inside them. Once Mario smashes something, he reverts to walking around, and you can turn into a rock again by shaking the Wiimote. You can jump while in rock form, which I am pretty sure will translate into some really hard levels that will involve rock-jumping. At any rate, this isn’t one of those. It’s pretty much just an introduction to smashing things, one that culminates in a boss battle versus an adorable giant baby armadillo, who you have to bash in the ass three times. introduction to smashing things, one that culminates in a boss battle versus an adorable giant baby armadillo, who you have to bash in the ass three times. armadillo, who you have to bash in the ass three times. The Puzzling Pictureblock — Puzzle Plank Galaxy As the name so helpfully implies, Puzzle Plank Galaxy is full of puzzles. And wood. And puzzles made of wood. I had to butt-stomp on wooden columns and such to get to new areas, then jump across a section of planks as they were being cut apart by massive circular saw blades. The final challenge was butt-stomping a sliding-block puzzle into place. The thinking man’s platform game. Twin Falls Hideaway — Cosmic Cove Galaxy Everybody knows that when you go swimming in a Mario game, the first thing you need to do is grab a Koopa shell. Why is it so much easier to swim holding a shell? I don’t know, but the trick has been the same ever since same ever since Mario 3 20 years ago. But now the technology has changed. The shell has a headlight on it, and you can shine this on some of the more photosensitive underwater enemies to exterminate them. Plus, when you put the brakes on, the shell now has red brake lights. These are totally functionless, but funny.(Update: As many readers have since pointed out, the brake lights were indeed in the first game.) This level wasn’t as impressive as the rest. After swimming around, I just had to hit a switch, turn the water into ice, and jump up a now-solid waterfall (hmmm) to get to the star. Bumble Beginnings — Honeybloom Galaxy As we’ve seen previously, several of Galaxy 2’s levels are in 2.5-D style, meaning that the levels take place roughly on a flat plane of action with a side-view camera. This is one of them. The Bee Suit is back, meaning that Mario can float in the air for a limited time when he’s wearing the ol’ yellow and black stripes. New to the level are big grapes that give Mario back a little bit of flight time if he bounces off of them. stripes. New to the level are big grapes that give Mario back a little bit of flight time if he bounces off of them. them. A Glimmer Bulb Berry — Haunty Hills Galaxy Yoshi eats things that make him light up. Light causes the level to appear around him. Eat another Glimmer Bulb Berry before yours runs out, or the level will disappear and you will fall to your doom. Need I say more? It’s a recipe for frantic fun. more? It’s a recipe for frantic fun. This was also the scene of my personal triumph, if I may close the show with this anecdote. I played the living hell out of Mario Galaxy. After last year’s E3 I went back and got the rest of the stars I’d missed the first time through, so I’d be ready to roll into the sequel. So the game was fresh in my mind when I jumped into this level. And as I jumped and ran through the disappearing-platform challenge, I saw the final platform at the end, and from eyeballing the distance I was pretty sure I could do a long jump, spin right at the end, and the final platform at the end, and from eyeballing the distance I was pretty sure I could do a long jump, spin right at the end, and juuust grab the edge of the platform. I did.“You can do that?” said the Nintendo of America rep. “I didn’t even think you could do that. Now I’ve gotta go do that.” Yeah: I am ready for this game."

Nintendos new peripheral.

So there's a new controller out in the states, the Classic Controller Pro, which is reminiscent of a fatter dualshock controller for the ps line than anything. What's so new about it ask, beyond it having 2 additional shoulder buttons and its being packaged with Monster Hunter Tri for $60 bucks, not much. Don't get me wrong, I like it as it comes in the 2 factory colors, black and white, but solo its only $20 bucks. Not bad right. I only wish they would take it back old school and release their consoles and controllers in colors, a la N64 anyone?

The Medal returns.

Here's my take on Medal of Honor. No not the old ones, they were classics, no I'm talking about the newest entry in the Medal of Honor series, respectively titled Medal of Honor. Up top is the trailer for it. It's gonna own.

Get ready to Move. Sony style!!

So by now if ur a gamer, u have heard of Sony newest peripheral, the Move. Personally I'm not impressed with anything that resembles a Wii controller, but maybe I'm being to hard on Nintendo, the Wii was revolutionary in its own right. Anyway, so the Move is set to drop in the fall and so far, there r no solid looking launch titles to be heard of.

"Sony’s motion controller is called PlayStation Move and will be released this fall, the gamemaker said  Wednesday. Whether any killer app games will be released with it is still in question. At a lavish press briefing taking place a few blocks away from the Game Developers Conference, Sony revealed the final name and specifications of Move, which it first showed off at last year’s E3 Expo. The controller itself is almost exactly like the Wii remote, although Sony says it’s more precise: PlayStation Eye, the camera peripheral that Sony has already released, sits near your television and tracks a glowing plastic ball on top of the controller. This allows it to track the controller’s movements. Sony says the primary advantage of the controller’s precision will be that hard-core gamers will embrace Move even if they don’t think Wii is accurate enough.“We are bringing consumers what they have been asking for: A more precise, immersive and responsive real-world gaming experience,” said Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony’s worldwide game development studios, during the presentation. “The types of games we can make with it are amazingly diverse…. It has the potential to breathe new life into many established game genres.” the potential to breathe new life into many established game genres.” Having said that, the games Sony showed off were largely cribbed from Wii’s playlist: table tennis, bowling, golf, archery, etc. Most of these are included in a single game tentatively called Champion Sports."

Hopefully we can expect a bundle of the Move and the eyetoy.

Wait didn't I blog about Nintendo?

Ugh, yea I did, so apparently Nintendo isn't satisfied with "only" having 3 highly successful handhelds still on the market, they have another one on the way in the "assault of the wallets" saga that 2010 is no doubt gonna bring towards its exit into 2011. Yup, another Ds is in the works, dubbed the Nintendo 3ds. 3D is apparently the new bandwagon and it looks as though Nintendo wants to be first out the gate with a gaming capable device.

I am a bit in awe however at Nintendos aggressive insertion into the handheld market this year, I mean come on, 4 handhelds on the market. It's overkill in my opinion, but in the same breath I can understand what Nintendog is doing, their securing their spot as the number 1 handheld provider. We all know who's taking home king of the portables for 2010 and the year is still young.

"Nintendo’s next portable game machine will be called “Nintendo 3DS” and feature 3-D graphics, the company said Tuesday morning. The Nintendo 3DS is a next-generation portable game machine, a successor to the current line of products. It will feature a 3-D display that does not require the use of glasses. It will be released in Japan before March 2011. Nintendo 3DS will be compatible with Nintendo DS and DSi software, the company said. Nintendo will reveal more information about 3DS at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this June. Glasses-free 3-D technology has been around for a while in computer monitors, laptops and televisions, but hasn’t proven as popular as the kind that uses glasses. That’s because glasses-free 3-D uses a lenticular screen (it’s covered with an array of tiny vertical lenses) to direct different images to each eye. It works, but only if you hold your head in the right position. That’s a serious limitation for couch potatoes staring at a TV across the room, but would be no problem at all for a handheld game console. Nintendo’s longtime hardware partner Sharp will be manufacturing the new hardware and on March 28, Nintendo will release the latest (and apparently last) in the line of original DS players, the DSi XL, in the United States. Nintendo of America said Tuesday that it could not provide further comment on the Nintendo 3DS."

Here's to the next wave of gaming I guess.

How the dsixl is doing.

Sales of the Nintendo's enlarged handheld, the DS good start in the U.S. According to Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, the DSi X units in the U.S. during its debut week. The DSi XL was released on North America. NPD's March data was tracked through April 3, an does not include separate sales data for each version of the hand Total sales on all DS hardware reached over 700,000 units in March, according to NPD. The DSi XL is joined by two other Nintendo handhelds currently o the DS Lite and the DSi. The company recently announced yet another of its handheld, the 3DS, which it plans to unveil at this year's E3 in J R.

I'M FEELING LIKE KING KONG IN HIS PRIME

because today snitches, I passed my Asvab. Just found out the scores, got a 64, passing was 50:) that means a genius!! Lol not really but it does signify a great moment in my life. A moment that has evaded me 4 times in the past. As Sam Cook once said, "its been long time coming, but a change is gonna come." And it has. It starts and ends with me. HOOAHH!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

It's done. Finally.

I took my Asvab today and I'm well satisfied to say that I feel I did pretty good. I won't know my score until tomorrow but I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Big surprise.

We already knew that Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was an unabashed success and, apparently, "the any form of entertainment since the dawn of mankind." But just how well has the game continued to sell? Uh, pretty well. Today's March NPD release gave us another hint of the shooter's incredible continued success. Though no specific numbers are provided as of yet, NPD writes that Modern Warfare 2 "is now the second-best-selling game of all time." Just last month, we were informed via a similar statement from NPD that Modern Warfare 2 had taken the number three spot. What competition does Modern Warfare have yet to get rid of? The crown is currently held by none other than Wii Play. Does this hardcore military shooter have what it takes to dethrone Nintendo's super-successful family-friendly hit?

Looks like its lights out for the original box.

For the rest of us who actually care, today marks a bittersweet milestone: April 15 is the day that Microsoft pulls the proverbial plug on Xbox Live support for the original Xbox. Sure, Microsoft told everyone about it back in February, but that was a long time ago in gaming terms. It’s not too late, though. Tonight’s a great time to fire up the system, dig out and untangle your old headset, and play some old-school Halo. If you don’t do it soon, you won’t be able to ever again. As Microsoft spokesman Larry Hryb said on his Major Nelson blog, supporting the legacy Xbox Live functionality was holding the 360 back in a number of ways. For one, maintaining compatibility between the platforms meant Xbox 360 users had a friends-list cap of 100."While I can’t comment on the specifics, this change will allow us to continue evolving the Live service with new features and experiences that fully harness the power of Xbox 360 and the Xbox Live community," he wrote. "We did not make this decision lightly, but after careful consideration and review we realize that this decision will allow us unprecedented flexibility for future features."

Aww, I guess master chief from Halo one is stuck with LAN parties from now on lol. But it will be missed. The good old days of xbox live. Get ur gaming on while u can.

More folks online with PS3 over xbox live and Wii? Hmmm

It’s no secret that Sony took their sweet time to bring the PlayStation Network up to snuff. However, since Sony doesn’t charge for PSN access, the argument has long since been “you get what you pay for” whenever complaints were levied against the service. And yet, that hasn’t stopped 78 percent of PS3 owners from hooking up their consoles to the Internet, giving the PS3 the largest percentage of Internet connected consoles when compared to the Xbox 360 and Wii. not just to enhance their gaming experience but to access the growing variety of online media-video," director of research for Diffusion Group told Diffusion Group told popular reason behind “no broadband access” is. I for one am not even surprised lol.

The Gears trilogy comes to an end

Gears of War 3 has been announced and could be the franchises biggest hit yet. Hardcore gamers on many platforms enjoy RPGs and FPS titles, making these some of the most popular, and profit-generating categories. Game consoles often fight for the exclusive rights to blockbuster franchise like and Gears of War. The gaming world is anticipating the latest entry in the for this new title has been announced as April of 2011. That means fans of the Gears of War franchise have a year to wait for the next entry in the saga. Gears of War 3 April 5, 2011 reports NewsObserver. Gears developer Epic has also stated that it has a new franchise set to launch next year called Bulletstorm, which it expects to be one of its next big franchises.“Our absolute intention is to have every year be our best year, but 2011 is looking awfully sexy right now,” Epic CEO Michael Capps said. Other than offering up a firm launch date, Epic is mum on the particulars for stating that the game will be the climax to the franchise and fans will be excited. Epic has been showing off a trailer for the game called Ashes to Ashes that will give fans a glimpse at what the game promises. Perhaps more details will be offered at E3 this summer. Microsoft has previously stated that hardcore games such as Gears of War and Halo scare some casual gamers away from the Xbox 360. However, the company continues to offer the games. Earlier this year analysts stated that they believe Epic regrets making Gears of War an Xbox 360 exclusive. However, once the trilogy is ended on the Xbox, perhaps the game will come to the PS3 and PC. In the trailer, there's a bearded Dominic Santiago battling Locust in an ashy wasteland. There's a quick shot of a female COG, which Epic design director Cliff Bleszinski confirmed Delta Squad's dispatcher, Anya Stroud. There are also shots of a horrifying tentacled beast and a wicked shotgun. If you aren't already following Bleszinsk's Twitter feed, you may want to start doing so. He's been updating it regularly, including a recent entry that confirms four-player co-op throughout the game's campaign. Yes.

The next xbox

Details r as scarce as one would expect of a new console release. Namely the xbox 720, Microsofts next big drop. Several sites say that the name of it is nearly a pet name, sumthing the company is pushing out until the actual launch. But even for a Sony loyalist like me, 720 sounds better than anything id come up with for a console. There r no definate confirmed photos of any hardware or even system specs out there, but from Peter Moores on mouth a date of around 2011 and 2012 is the launch point. I'll post more news as I get it.

When is there gonna be a pirates vs ninjas movie

Of course im talking about a decent Pirates v.s Ninjas movie. we got ninjas already with the likes of countless ninja movies from my personal favs Beverly Hills Ninja, The Last Samurai and sum others, and we got pirates with the Pirates of the Caribbean series, so why not combine them!? mind u, i think a game like this has to be purely comedy. i mean i cant see this movie being too serious on itself. the characters cant be too stiff or take themselves too seriously either. i would bet that most of the ppl who would even come out to see this(myself, im first at the ticket counter) would be expecting sum serious laughs out if the sheer fact of how far fetched this movie is. to unlikely enemies, fighting and what not over sum turf or treasure? sounds good on paper, but sumone needs to make this really happen. make it into a cult classic because thats exactly where i see it going. not casted with a stupid bunch of pretty actors, but ppl who fit the roles that u would think of until u saw them in makeup. i personally am rooting for an actual production of such a movie. i mean who wouldnt be, this movie could turn the tide and convert alot of ppl who used to think ideas like this sucked. all sumone has to do, is do it right. what do u think?

Yea I'm certified... TO OWN!!!

So yea I just got my zombie recertifications the other day, I figured I'm gonna need it because where I stay, dead heads r on the rise again. Looks like I'm fittin to get me sum overtime in. Anywho I got a call from a fellow "exterminator" who mentioned these new types of flesh bags he dubbed, "fat-fart".

Apparently he's been on the receiving end of one of these "fat fart" attacks, according to him their quick on their feet and r strangely attracted to flushing toilets, they also won't hesitate to spew the illustrated peeyuu in the pic when close enough, but be extra careful if u encounter a male fat fart, those sons of sardines can hit u from several yards away with disturbing accuracy, depending on which way the weather blows. Personally I'm lactose intolerant to fire, I can't stand it, its all hot and stuff. Thats just me now, so when I heard this, I'm not gonna lie to u, it made me wonton for a freezer asap.

Now I'm an old liberator of the living, I've been fighting zombies since the dawn of the dead so there ain't much that I haven't seen already. But its getting hairy out there, well at least I am, I haven't shaved in months, but that's not my point. With a new type like the fat fart roaming the streets, its just that much more dangerous to walk outside with just a bat and a pair of socks, u gotta arm up and take thoughs buggers out from a distance. Just a friendly blog to update would be zombie hunters who may encounter this new type, keep ur eyes open,  ur nose open, ur nose booger free and try not to flush any toilets or else they'll come running. And spewing.

Disappointments.

Things happen. Maybe it wasn't the right time. Don't rush these things. These r all the sayings we hear all the time when it comes to things being postponed or set back. We try our best to deal with setbacks as best we can, sum can handle and upset more than others, others give up. Like today for example, I was supposed to go down an take my Asvab test. Now because of a setback my test has been postponed until Thursday. Nice. A test I've been studying for 2 years and failed 4 times. A test that will not only change my life but change who's in my life, my surroundings, me entirely. And yet here I am. Still sitting in my room. Trying to deal with it.

But in hind site, I have a lot to contribute to this set. It's giving me more time to familiarize myself with what I'm testing on. I have experience of my past to my advantage this go around. No more mistakes. This Thursday it is. I'll be ready.

Today, I test!

It's on baby!!!

I remember a time....

Ah memories, don't u just luv them.(sarcasm)

Good Readings

Believe it or not, I luv good reading material, every now and then ill stumble upon sumthing that makes me reminise of my childhood and how I used to imagine I was in sum awesome fantasy world. Go ahead and laugh, its ok. Anyway I just so happen to stumble across such a medium in the form of a digital comic. One by the name of LAN, thats Light Apprentice Nate for u tech geeks who automatically assumed u knew what the comics about:p. Nate is a young boy raised to fight in the 100-Year War. He's an aspiring Light Knight that has spent 300 years in a coma, awoken by the blueling wizard TLOB, the secrets of NATE’s past remain shrouded. Brazilian-born artist IGOR NORONHA ( ZUDA COMICS’ SIDEWISE) blends comics and animation in his first creator-owned work for mobiles! The story sounds serious but its not. Humor abounds in this comic and it already has me hooked to its narrative. I enjoyed the issue #0 as it found Nate traversing a cavern that was once a giant insect, he comes upon an prisoner who's being held captive by an orge. I won't spoil the rest but just know I recommend it for the casual reader and for though who just luv fantasy and adventure comics. http://tlobstudios.com/

My fav soundtracks 1

Now that I got my HTC hero, the days of  me going out to buy cd music has become obsolete. I can download to my hearts content, as long as my memory holds up. But now that I hold a fancy piece of equipment I can't forget the good old days of compact disk. So, to honor cd's I've compiled a top 4 of my own personal stash. These albums were bought at difficult times in my life, and hold much my moods fluctuated during those times. So let's get in it then.

First up is the Afro Samurai soundtrack. A short lived Cartoon Network stink that had sum serious action and serious music. The soundtrack was crafted by Rza (the pronounced Riza) of the Wu Tang Clan, a rap group from the early 90's, it feature mainly rap with classic Wu Tang sound and influence that coincides with the action on the show. Lots of blood, lots of cursing, and Samuel L. Jackson as the Afro Samurai. I luv it always. However I recommend the clean version.

Next is a band called La'arc en ciel, a Japanese group who's one of the greatest band ever assembled across seas their album is entitled simply Smile, a mixture of rock and dominated mellow tunes, track numbers 2 and 8 always get me wanting to bench press sumthing, a house, a dog, anything within reach.

We all know Metal Gear...... ok maybe not, but if u had a Playstation 1 back in 98, then u at least heard about Metal Gear Solid. And action espionage title launch under the game company Konomi. The soundtrack is filled with spy/action/ instrumentals that r as beautiful as this game was when it released all thoughs years ago.

Lastly is a soundtrack that many ppl may not get until they actually sit down and listen to it. From the anime Samurai Champloo comes 2 albums, I have the second called Playlist Music Record 2. It combines sum Japanese hip hop with instrumental beats of the urban kind. Mellow tones, beats that make u bob ur head without even thinking about it. Also check out an artist named Nujabes, he's got flow.

What is known about FF versus 13 so far.

This much is known, its in the same universe as FF13 and its apart of a trilogy. Yup, in fact its number 2 in the 13 series, confused? Don't be, these story apparently don't intertwine and Lighting and Noctis never even cross each others path. This is a new take in the Final Fantasy lore, one that's as interesting as it is unique. But FF13 is out now and fans have just gobbled it up, FF versus however remains shrouded in mystery, more mysterious than Noctis the protagonist.

But his part is sure to be a main one, he resides as a recently crowned king, charged with defending the last crystal in the kingdom from a bunch of militia lookalikes called the Hectic. This reminds me instantly of the crystal chronicles series in the FF lore, but much darker and more prevalent. There is no set release date for this title, but if I were to guess id say we can expect this to hit sum time before Christmas this year. But I want it now kupo!!!!!

Batman Deadend...... WAIT, WHAT!!

so apparently, if u put Batman, the predator and the aliens in a movie together, that movie would own so hard and make even Avatar kneel before it in anguish. Or at least that's what this teaser one shot gives the impression of. It seems ridiculous at first, u would think Batman would be waaaaaay out of his element the moment he's pounced on by an alien, but old bats hold his own well. What's gonna get u is the way this teaser ends, the producer Sandy Collora has a talent.

All hail the king! Of games that is.

I'll just go ahead and say it, I luv Pokemon and if u can read the picture attached to this blog then it means either one of two things, either ur fluent in Japanese or I'm very jealous that u can read it and I can't . Either way I know what it mean, this is the fifth-gen Pokémon title and its finally been announced! As teased on the named Pokémon Black and White respectively, and are set for a fall release on DS in Japan. The homepage also promises "every aspect will be reborn innovatively" (rough translation). reborn innovatively" (rough translation). Also note the first new creature has been revealed: Zoroark, the Monster Fox Pokémon. The site indicates we'll learn more come April 15.

My impression of MAG

First off, DANNNNG THIS GAME IS SEXY, second why aren't I playing it right now?..... hmm, Idk either, anyway in the video, executive producer of Zipper Interactive(the company that made the game) sits down with GameSpot to go over game basics like the overall theme of the game, how it works and so on. Personally I luv the way the 256 player matches have been broken up so that the chaos is controlled. Graphically the game is good if ur playing in hd, and honestly I don't like the whole sticking with one of the 3 sides of either Valor, Sven or Raven for my entire game experience but sum may object. I guess the whole loyalty to one side schtik actually appeals to ppl. U be the judge.

I likes Mugen

Or more technically known as, sprite battles with beloved characters to the death lol. But as a whole, what u see in the video attached(for thoughs who don't know) is called Mugen. Mugen is a game players dream application on a 2D scale, utilizing tools from a laptop or desktop players can potentially create any kind of scenario their minds can concoct. Whole fan made stories have been crafted and set on YouTube for all to see, sum even rivaling 3D games made by big name developers. U luv Dragonball Z, u luv Street Fighter more? Pit them against each other. What about a Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe prequel, it can be done. With patience and understanding of the programs ull be using, u could go so far as to craft ur own characters and do battle against everyone. Nice. Oh and by the way, this is not my video.

I passed my practice Asvab

I was so excited, can u tell lol. This was a big freaking deal and it still is, I go to take my real test Tuesday the 13. OOOWWW

2010

For anyone who knows me, knows I've never been much of an achiever at anything. Heck I didn't even get my Ged until I was 23. I was a slacker in every sense of the word, my life was a waiting game for handouts and slim chances. And u know what? For a long time, I was ok with that. See I was one of those troubled youths who lost his dad way before he even died, I felt the world owed me a big freaking appology, and since it didn't, I was a slouch about it. Didn't care about tomorrow, my future, my education, nothing. Those were my younger years, between 15 and 18. A lot of hurt, alot of pain and a whoooole lot of anger resided in these veins. But like I said, those were younger days, and with age should come maturity. In that prospective I became very mature once my 20's hit me. That and homelessness. I'm 25 now and I can tell u life is a bitch sumtimes.

Forgive me for the language, I don't even like to curse anymore, must be that whole maturity thing I mentioned. Anyway, it took me to lose all but my life to get it that I've made sum bad choices growning up. I mean don't get me wrong, everyone does, its apart of life. But man, I really was an underachiever. In school, in church, in bed with gf's, I was an underachiever. So sad I know. With all that, 2010 is my year to thrive. To live. To be great at everything that I do. I'm young, I'm verile. I have dreams and goals and desires that have yet to be met, but this is the year I achieve them and set my goals even higher. It's by the grace of God that I'm even still here after 2:34pm of last December on the day of the 21st. It's no mistake that I still am here. So with that, let's get it 2010, its me and u.

Me and moms get our apartment

As Sam cooke would say, its been along time coming:)

On the way to work. Ugh.

This was a recording sum time ago, nuthin recent but I never got to upload it. It was raining that morning, it was like sumthing after 7am, I was soooo tired and just dreading the day ahead.

The Dsi XL, hmmm.

Well what do we have here? Another cash cow that's been born of the loins of one of the worlds leading companies in video gaming. Nintendo sure knows how to make a buck. With that said, this is the Nintendo Dsi XL. With an emphasize on XL as in Xtra Large. Ull see a side by side comparison of the Dsi and the Dsi XL versions in the video to back up the abbreviation. Everything about this iteration screams "bigger is better". Now bare in mind, I'm no handheld gamer, in fact I haven't played a handheld device since the Gameboy Color so I won't go on saying that the many iterations of Ds's is nintendos way of milking society dry. but what I will say is that the newest brick on the block from Nintendos ingenuity is without a doubt, interesting. I don't own a ds, but looking at the video included kinda makes me want to. the Dsi XL was released this year last March, I'm assuming in response to the craptaculor release of Sony's PspGo, and it seems to have been taken well by American players with more mainstay titles on the way like Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. Just like the gameboy before it, I don't see any competition against this titan of pocket gaming, but the psp is still in the race. so, who's gonna buy me one?

Looking at the video kinda gives me a desire to go and buy this freaking thing. Idk why, maybe that's Nintendogs plan the whole time, make the video as attractive as possible. Ugh, what do u think?

Hey there! It's Eiffel.
